Virtual Living Land Show- lots of free resources for schools!

As a teacher here in the Garden of England it is with great pleasure that I was asked to contribute to this year's Living Land Show organised by the Kent Agricultural Society.

For the first time in its history the show will be held virtually, rather than its usual location at the Kent County Showground in Detling. Lots of farmers, producers and demonstrators will be contributing some great learning resources for this online event that starts on Thursday 6th May. The big advantage of the show being virtual this year is that there is no limit on schools who can apply. While predominantly suited to years 3/4 there will be a range of learning resources and online material that will be available for 12 months after the event. To sign up all teachers have to do is click the following link!

For my part I have contributed a seasonal vegetarian stir fry using some local ingredients and filmed at Monkton Nature Reserve, Thanet. It may have looked sunny, but believe me the temperature that day was barely above freezing!

Thank you and if you or a school that you know would be interested then please share the link!
