March update- COVID-19

First and foremost I'd like to wish all those that read this health and happiness in these unprecedented times. As a business and as a teacher, a few weeks ago I took the decision to be guided by government advice on schooling, and events over the past week have meant that some of the events and courses at schools and locations have in my view, been rightfully cancelled or postponed until a later date when the schools are open again.

Wild Classroom will still carry on, I have had a request from several schools I have worked with over the past month, as well as the children in my own class to put some of the recipes on my site, which I will do in due course over the next week. I will also continue to cook outside and try inventive ideas over fire, which I shall share here and over social media.

I my other role as a classroom teacher, I have been asked to continue attending school, so that those children of essential workers who are unable to remain at home can be cared for in a safe environment. What this does mean, is that we will be going off curriculum and there will be plenty of opportunities to get outside and get cooking with fire with these young people, in a bid to make the best of the current climate.

Otherwise, take care and help look after each other!

Much love.

Scott
