Hi there I hope you are well in this (currently) blazing hot sunshine!
At Wild Classroom I've had a busy few weeks, working in schools, running workshops and planning lots of exciting things for the future.
Firstly, the lifting of some restrictions in April meant that I was able to proceed with two workshops at Belmont House and Gardens early this month. One of these served as a fantastic photo opportunity with Stephen from Inkfield Media, who is working on behalf of Visit Kent to shoot and promote outdoor events as part of their Experience programme. One of his shots is used on this post!
The second workshop was attended by a local journalist who asked if she could write about her experience for Faversham Life, I willingly agreed and it has just been published online. To read it click
While we are all still patiently waiting for things to be a little safer and final restrictions to be lifted, smaller outdoor events and festivals can still go ahead within existing guidelines. Several of which I shall be in attendance over the coming months.
The first is the Wealden Literary Festival on the 26th/27th June, if you are attending please pop by and say hi in the woodland area! I will also be running a bookable lunchtime workshop on both days!
My second new festival will be at Elderflower Fields, this is a family focused festival where attendees can book on to a range of workshops over the three days. This runs from 23rd-26th July and more information can be found here.
In addition to this I will also be part of Brogdale's Heritage Orchard weekends throughout the summer, along with some apple and plum themed family workshops on the 25th and 26th August, more details on these can be found via this link.
Thank you for taking the time to read this!
