Hi it has been a while since I last posted a blog, but as we enter the final month of a challenging year for all, it is time to look forward to 2021 with optimism.
Since making Wild Classroom my full-time job in September, I feel fortunate that a good number of schools in Kent and London have embraced my passion for outdoor learning and I have been busy most weeks teaching young people how to cook outdoors, and with bookings already coming in for next year, things are looking encouraging!
I would also like to say a big thank you to those families who attended my outdoor cooking workshops at Belmont and Brogdale during the October half-term. It was lovely to meet so many families who share my passion for outdoor cooking, even if it seemed to rain the entire time. Due to the success of these days I have been asked to host a number of events at Belmont and Brogdale next year. The first being a family cooking workshop on pancake day at Belmont, during the February half term. More details to follow.
When I have not been working in schools, I have had the opportunity to chat, visit, meet, Zoom-call some fantastic people who are doing great things in promoting Kent as a tourist attraction, and the final details are being arranged for some exciting events and workshops that I will be holding in some truly beautiful settings next year! Again, more details to follow.
As well as enjoying the Christmas festivities, December for me is often the time where I get to cook outside for my own pleasure, and try a few ideas and techniques over fire. I will be adding to my recipes over the next few weeks here, but please also check out (if you don't already- thank you) my social media handles on Instagram and Twitter- both @wildclassroomuk.
